libmathlib2-dev software package provides CERNLIB data analysis suite - core mathematical library (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libmathlib2-dev
libmathlib2-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libmathlib2-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libmathlib2-dev *
You will get with libmathlib2-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
